Experience York the DoubleTree Way
The hotel is located in the city centre, just about an 18-minute walk from the train station. We arrived around 10:30 p.m and were warmly welcomed by the male receptionist, who efficiently helped us check in within 10 minutes. He also informed us about the breakfast hours and the free luggage storage service after check-out. The service was very professional.
For breakfast, we simply gave our room number to enter. It included a classic English breakfast as well as coffee, croissants, and fruit—very plentiful.
Check-out was also very smooth. Diana, the blonde receptionist, quickly handled the process and arranged luggage storage for us. All the staff members we encountered were highly professional.
The room itself was spacious, clean, air-conditioned, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to friends who plan to visit York.
